About Us
Batchnet is owned and operated by John Brantly. John was a computer engineer and IT Consultant with IBM in Research Triangle Park, NC for 12 years (with a brief stint in Boca Raton, FL). The last four of those years were as a project manager and personnel manager. John has personally serviced and managed many enterprise (1000+ user) projects and accounts, ranging across a wide array of computing technologies. However, when you work for IBM you are often "just a number" and as a small town boy from Goldsboro, NC I missed my roots and interacting with local people. So I decided to retire from IBM and pursue using my talents in a way where I could run a local business that helps other local businesses run smoothly.
I love to get feedback from our customers! If you have IT related issues in your business that you would like to discuss, feel free to schedule a (free) consultation with me at any time.
A little more about John…
I graduated from NC State with a B.S., Computer Engineering in 1994. Leading up to that point, I was 10 years old when I started programming my first computer (a Commodore 64) and just happened to be growing up as a "computer nerd" at a time that coincided with the advent of the personal computer and internet age. I am nostalgic for those simpler days, but in my professional life I have tried to stay on the cutting edge. With IBM I developed, tested, and supported technologies such as IBM Servers, storage systems, network appliances, voice recognition, system management, etc. I plan to use the most cutting edge, innovate, and economical tools and techniques to serve your business and keep your systems running smoothly!
