Press Release Monday, August 27, 2007 07:08 PM:

Local IT Networking Company Sold Triangle - RALEIGH – Batchnet, a ten-year-old local computer services and networking company, announced that it has been sold. Herb Tull, president, said the opportunity to transition to new ownership from within the employee ranks means a smooth transition for clients. John Brantly, one of the senior engineers, will be the new owner and president. The sale closed Friday, August 24th. Batchnet has been known for the last decade as a specialist in networking, computer service, and technical documentation. Several years ago the firm adopted the marketing position of “No Geeks” and “IT Service By Adults, For Adults.” The primary objective of the “No Geeks” approach was to separate Batchnet from a competitive field by focusing on the experienced, senior level employees. The business grew 30 percent last year. John Brantly, who will take over as president after the sale closes, spent twelve years at IBM as a computer engineer and manger. A native of Goldsboro, Mr. Brantly joined Batchnet because he likes the interaction with local clients. “I missed my roots and interacting with real folks,” said Brantly. “I wanted to use my talents in a way that allows me to interact with the community while running a local business that helps other local businesses run smoothly.” About Batchnet: Batchnet is a Raleigh-based Information Technology company founded in 1997. The company employs highly qualified professional business IT problem solvers with advanced degrees and real world experience. Batchnet works with small businesses that have between 5 and 50 workstations. Areas of expertise include networking, systems integration, and workflow management.
